52 Lists for 2010 - List 35

Every week I say I've got to get some summer photos posted here, and every week I just barely get my list posted. I have been busier with my Lemonade Blog -- that's my excuse!

The kids start school one week from today, so perhaps then I'll just do a summary of summer post. We'll see.

In the meantime, this week's list is favourite magazines.

I've been saving a lot of interesting looking packaging, as well as just flat stuff. This is flat stuff, from MM mini letters. Used an edge punch from SU to dress it up, mod podge to adhere bits of Stampington magazine images and some cool paper that Marc just brought back from Japan. He returned with some gift wrapped green tea. I was as intrigued with the wrap and tape as I was with the contents!

A bit of paint here and there. Cut out the letters freehand,  for the word magazine, from more of those Stampington magazine images, edges the pieces before I attached them, stamped 'favorite' and the bug using paint rather than ink. The 'favorite' stamp is SU and is coming in handy for these lists, and the bug is a Tim stamp. Those bits of silver tape with Japanese characters are also from the green tea wrap. All of the paint I used was the Adirondack dabbers.

More Tim stamps for the back. A pretty boring list. I often read what's been left in the bathroom. Golf magazines, Rolling Stone, and yes, the AARP magazine they send monthly. Marc is 52 so can be a member, and as his spouse, I can too. Aaahh, the benefits of age!!

52 Lists for 2010 - List 34

This week's list is a no brainer, at least for me. Places I have lived.

Some people move around more, but I lived in the same city for the first 34 years of my life. My list is short, simple, and because of that, I won't be adding an extra page for this one, to add the items I forgot!

This is all scraps. The house is a Kaisercraft tag, the roof the inside of a tea box, windows from a technique tag sample I made, the door, and the big flower are from a Kleenex tissue box, the window box is MM packaging, the two flowers and two birds are from a Target gift card holder, the sun is cut out from the other side of the tea box, the cloud is the other side of the MM packaging, and the background is from a technique scrap from years back, using a variety of ink colours and scrunched up plastic wrap to apply it. Some glaze pens and gel pens for colouring and that about wraps it up.

While I had visualized cutting up scraps to put this together, this is not what I had pictured at all. Never is, at least for me!

Simple, as my list is fairly short. These are all SU stamps.

Just took a peek at our flickr group and someone's played catch up and posted a whole bunch of new goodness! Check it out!! 52 lists flickr group  Fun!

52 Lists for 2010 - List 33

This week's list  is things most people probably don't know about me. I used one of my scraps with an SU background stamp on it, added a few more stamped images, both directly on the background and on separate pieces with were then cut and added.  A couple more bits of stuff, including a paint swatch, a Prima stud flower and some ribbon, and done.

Same stamp set used on the back.

52 Lists for 2010 - List 32

I was all ready to post this last night when Gaby asked for help untangling the yarn from her new crochet kit. The process  took 3 hours and we were still left with 2 balls from the one original clump. Just couldn't get that tangle out of the middle. Oh well.

For this week, my list of bad things I did as a kid.

Still obsessed with these embossing folders. I used a couple of TH's this time. For the front, I put a sheet of 10 Second Studio brown metal in the folder and ran it through my Big Shot. I think the other reason I'm using these folders is that I'm rearranging my space and the Big Shot is out, rather than tucked away, so it's easy to use it more.
Since the metal had colour, I just sanded to remove the colour from the embossed areas. Edged with some (I think) 7 Gypsies tape, and then added some Grungeboard letters and skull.

This is the other TH folder, and the butterflies are a SU embossing folder. Love them!

Hoping my kids don't read this list. Yet!

52 Lists for 2010 - List 31

For this week, a fun list to make and I know I'll think of more.

Games I like to play!!

I just received this new SU embossing folder last week, so I tried it out on a piece of lightweight cardboard, using my Big Shot. Sponged white ink on the embossed areas, coloured the innerds with Copics. No shading, so once more, not using them for their real intended purpose, but the tips were just right for getting inside those lines and the colours didn't bleed through to the other side. Though that might have been a good thing, as the backside is a bit blah. Oh well!

There's a couple of more games I like to play with Gaby, but have to check the boxes -- can't recall the names.

I love games like Who Nu and Apples to Apples, that are fun to play with crowds -- or cousins! Haven't actually played Backgammon in years, but Marc and I used to. Connect 4, well, Gaby always beats me.
